I am not a S197 guy, but in general I have heard a lot more great things about the SCT. They're both great tuners, but I would also go with the SCT. Just my .02.

My 360 got the frozen black screen, with is a gpu failure issue so I call up Microsoft and they say send it in. I send it in (occasionally checking status on the repair on their site) until it finially shows that the repair was done and I recieve it 3 weeks later. I open it up, read a letter...
